Your Jesus Message of the Day:

Praise God and Your Journey Will Be Easier

Have you ever been busy with a project or some house chores without listening to music? It makes everything drab and overwhelming. And the moment you put some music on, the chore becomes easier because you can dance while you work. God wants us to always have songs of praises in our hearts because it makes the journey much easier. You don’t have to be happy to enjoy the music. But you’ll soon find that despite the difficulty, the music somehow makes you happy. That is why I am touched when my children sing songs of praises during their storm, because it makes them happy. And your praises are like music to My ears.

Psalm 35:28

“Then my tongue shall tell of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long.”

Songs of Praises in Your Victory

When My children pray to Me they often bring their requests and problems to My door. But it isn't often that I am thanked for the prayers that I have already answered. It’s only natural to pray when you have a need but it is also good to be grateful when things go your way. Not because I need the praise, but because a grateful heart is a happy heart. The more you say thank you, the more you will have to be thankful for. When king David won a war he brought his army home, removed his cloaks and danced and danced all the way home. He didn’t care how silly he looked to his people. He said he’d become even more undignified than that if it meant praising God for his victory. So don’t forget to give God the credit for when things go your way.

Unshackled Feet Can Dance

When Paul and Silas were imprisoned for their belief in Me, they didn’t sit in sackcloth and ashes and hold a pity party. They praised the Lord in the middle of their struggles. From the prison cell they made a noise of praises to Me, for life, for grace, for everything they were thankful for. They didn’t think of what they were lacking. They didn’t care that they had their freedom taken away. They made a noise while singing to praise Me. And I sent My Angels to remove the shackles from their feet. As soon as the shackles were removed they got up and danced with their singing in praise of Me. It is a beautiful example of how gratitude in the middle of a difficult time can bring joy and freedom not only physically but in your heart.

A Song of Freedom

After hundreds of years of bondage I freed My children from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. I parted the Red Sea for them to cross it and be saved. When they reached the other side of the Red Sea, Mirriam, Moses’ sister, took out her tambourine and danced and sang praises to Me. You are no longer caught in your sin. I have died for you so that you too can be free the way the Isrealites were freed. You don’t have to die for your sins. I died for you in your place so that you can be free. And so that you can have eternal life. Every person on earth has reason to sing a song of freedom.

The Angels Dance Around The Throne

My Angels don’t only sing but they dance too. Every time one My children decide to give their lives to Me, my Angels sing and dance around the throne. The Angels might not be able to sing the song of salvation, but they rejoice every time someone is saved from sin. Your own Guardian Angels love you very much and can’t wait for the day you give your heart to Me. The day you are free. And the heavenly hosts who look down from Heaven also rejoice when you find Me and accept Me as your personal Savior.

The Song That Angels Can't Sing

My Angels sing the most beautiful songs to me. Holy holy holy is the Lamb that was slain. They never stop their singing. It is a beautiful sound to My ears. But there is one song that the Angels can’t sing. That is the Song of Salvation. And one day when I take My children to their heavenly home, there will be a different singing in Heaven. The Angels will bow their heads and fold their wings and listen. The Song of Salvation is a song that only you can sing. Because you have tasted sin and have been freed from it. The Angels never tasted sin. And this song will be the most beautiful music since the beginning of time.

It is Well With My Soul

Horatio Spafford was a successful American businessman. He owned lots of houses that he rented out. One day while his wife and two daughters were traveling to Europe, a great fire broke out and all of his houses and plantations were burnt to the ground. He waited for his family to return by ship so he could share the bad news. On the way back from Europe their ship sank and his wife and children drowned in the icy waters. He decided to travel by ship on the same route, and when they crossed over where his family drowned he penned down the words to It is Well With My Soul, a heartfelt hymn about rejoicing even in the face of loss. My child, storms will come but I will be with you. What’s important is that it is well with your soul.

Jeremiah 17:14 ESV

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.”
