Your Jesus Message of the Day:
Today’s message is a call to action. God wants you to be as loving and kind as you can be. The world is going through some terrible times. And you need to spread more love if you ever want to see peace in this world. That is why God is asking each and every one of His children to be more loving and kind to every living being on earth.
John 13:34 ESV
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
A God of Loving Kindness
God loves each and every soul on earth so much that He sent Me, His only son, to die for your sins. He didn’t expect anything in return except that humans act with more kindness and compassion towards each other. There is not one person on this planet that I don’t love. Even the ones you don’t like. As I said on the cross, the final commandment is that people love each other. But love is a word that is often abused. People have forgotten what it means to love. So here is a kind reminder from Me what love really means.
Love is Patient and Kind
True love doesn’t hurry. It also doesn’t get angry. If you truly love someone the way I intend you to love people you will be patient and kind. Even if you are frustrated by another person you need to remember that you are not without fault. Everyone has their flaws. So be patient with others. They are just trying to find their way too. You don’t know the burdens they bear. You shouldn’t judge and become angry at them just because they aren’t the way you want them to be. We are often kinder and more forgiving to ourselves than we are to others. That is why we need to learn to be compassionate for the feelings of others. To learn to love them as we love ourselves.
Love is Truthful
Love always speaks the truth. It doesn’t hide anything. If you want to show your love for others you need to speak your truth. Of course you have to do it in a loving way. You need to use some tact when you approach difficult situations. But lying to other people is hurting them. It’s keeping them from the truth. And that is a sin. You need to be honest in all your dealings with people. Even if you think what you have to say may hurt them, rather tell them the honest truth than hide the reality of a situation from them. It is however good to be circumspect about who you share your truth to. There are those that it’s better to share less with than with friends or family for example. But when it comes to my truth, you must share it with everyone you meet.
Love Does Not Boast
Love wants nothing to do with pride. You need to be humble and gracious if you want to show true love to others. I told my friends on the mountain side that the meek are blessed and that the Kingdom is theirs. I did not die on the cross to become famous. I died on the cross as a symbol of God’s love to you. In the same way you shouldn’t help others to serve your own ego. You should do it because you genuinely want to help others. Love is not about receiving thanks, it’s about giving thanks to the Lord and spreading My love between people. Remember the lady in the temple who gave her last two mites, quietly and without wanting to be seen. She is blessed. She was surrounded by wealthy men who made displays of their giving. Be like the old lady.
Love Does Not Keep Record of Wrongs
Love is all about forgiveness. You can’t keep a record of everything bad someone has ever done. You also shouldn’t expect them to be a better person for you. Finding Me and learning about true love is the only way someone will truly change their hearts. Your judgements won’t make their life any better. So instead of holding what they’ve done wrong against them, rather show them the same love and compassion that I have shown you. Nobody has the right to throw the first stone, for no one is sinless. That is why I didn’t condemn the woman caught in adultery and neither do I condemn you. It hurts me when my children judge one another when I have already forgiven all of their sins.
Spread Love and Peace
The more you can show true love to your fellow man the more peace you will create in the world. Blessed are the peacemakers. When someone’s anger is met with acceptance and compassion their whole view of the situation changes. They become open to changing. But if they are met with resistance they are more likely to keep fighting. If you want to help people see eye to eye you need to be an example of what My love is really all about. The more loving and kind you are towards yourself and others the more you will spread My love through the world. Every person on this earth needs compassion and understanding. It is my desire that my children show these qualities to one another.
