#18- Dog

The dog is a symbol of loyalty, friendship, and trust. This may indicate your very best friend in the whole world, or at the very least someone extremely close to you. This may even be your romantic partner, spouse, or someone else you’re extremely intimate with. The color most often associated with the dog card is brown.

The dog card may also indicate that you need to handle a trying or stressful situation in a better way. Dogs are always loyal and trusting but they don’t cast judgement on others, they aren’t rude or aggressive generally without reason. There’s a children’s story about a man who comes home from work, he’s had a horrible day and as soon as he walks through the door of his home, he takes his anger out on his wife, who has done nothing wrong and is therefore upset about the way the husband has treated her. She takes out her anger by being rude to the oldest child, and criticizing her for something she did a week prior. The oldest child is upset because the mom unfairly punished her, and then punches the youngest child for no reason. The little boy cries about the abuse, when the family dog approaches him to say hello, and he therefore kicks the dog. The dog immediately jumps on the boy and gives him love and affection. While everyone else took out their anger on the next smallest thing, the dog didn’t even hesitate before returning to the boy and licking the child in the face. Dogs are optimistic creatures and are steadfastly loyal, no matter what the consequences to them. Dogs are tried and true and continue on their steady path regardless of what is going on around them.

#21 - The Mountain

The mountain is a symbol of a tall peak, almost the shape of a triangle. This can usually refer to something blocking your path that seems insurmountable. It could be a barrier, blockage, roadblock, obstacle, or other such thing. It might be a boss or co-worker that is really mean and prevents your advancement in the office or workplace. It might be some kind of disability or sickness that you are trying to overcome. It could be a financial limitation that you are trying to conquer. Literally, the mountain may also be forecasting some kind of snowy or severe weather in your area, but just like the other mountain meanings, it’s something that can be overcome with time and the right supplies and preparation. Health wise, a mountain card may refer to a blockage of the artery, vein, or some kind of constipation. It may also refer to an immobility or paralysis issue, both physically or mentally. It could refer to being handicapped or physically limited. It often refers to the winter months, as in something is going to happen within the months of December, January, or February. Singer and songwriter Miley Cyrus has a song called “The Climb” which is all about the feelings we get when we have a mountain in our path and the joy and exultation we get when we finally scale it to come down the other side.

Dog + Mountain

Because the Dog card can refer to loyalty, and the Mountain card can refer to a blockage, these two cards together means there is a chance that someone or something is standing in the way of an advancement for you. Most likely this advancement is in the workplace. Loyalty is playing a big part in the reasoning you cannot see through the things obstructing your visions of advancement. It may also mean that someone you thought was very loyal to you, like a co-worker or employee, is waiting to knife you in the back to prevent your advancement.

Numerology

The Dog is represented by the number 18, and the Mountain is represented by the number 21. When we combine them we get the number 39. Since 39 isn’t a single digit number, we add the 3 + 9 to get the number 12. We must then add 1 + 2 to get the number 3.

The Number 3

The number three could signify the month of March, which could be a month of love, travel, an anniversary, the month of a child’s birth, or another significant event for you. 3 can also be three months from today, three weeks, three days, or three years, and so on and so forth. It could also be referring to 3 o’clock or 30 minutes. Multiples of 3 can also be considered, like 2021. In Christianity the number 3 would represent the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost which are omnipresent and anywhere and everywhere, through space and time. The Pythagoreans thought that 3 was the first true number. It’s also symbolic of triangles, it’s the first number to form a geometric shape. In fairy tales and religious rituals things are often said or done three times. We use the expression, “third time’s the charm!” — it indicates that often times you don’t succeed on the first or second try, but on the third. We also count to three when we want to do something in synchronicity. It’s a very powerful number. Three colors of light are needed to make all other colors of light, three colors of paint are needed to make all other colors of paint.

Action Items for Today

Be aware of loyalties that people hold for each other in your place of work. It may be necessary to tip-toe around the situation you have been worried about. Loyalty can sometime make someone blind to a truth. It is very important for you to continue to be yourself and stay on the straight and narrow path. Having a positive attitude will get you over that mountain with ease. The peek may seem so far away but the only way to get there is to start the climb.

Affirmation

“I can see the other side of the mountain that has been placed in my way. My new opportunity awaits me on the other side. I can see my pathway clearly and I am ready to climb. I will be the best I can be and I will continue to work with ethics and dignity My goals are within my reach.” repeat this 2 or 3 times daily.
