Past Love Pain
Receiving a call from a close friend can be like a bolt out of the blue for you. Imagine going so long without even thinking about them, to one day having your phone ring, and hearing their nostalgic voice at the other end. Crazier things have happened though, and there is every chance you could one day pick up your own phone and be greeted with an old memory flooding back to you, but why does this happen, and what makes old friends want to call us? Often, old friends signal something in our past that we wish we could forget but are failing to. This is when angels use their call as a warning sign to prepare for some kind of past-related pain.
Quit Hanging onto Unrequited Love
For you, a call from an old friend will represent a past love pain that you are holding onto for dear life. In fact, you have been holding onto this past love for so long now, that your hands are tired from the aching of it. Your knuckles are white, and you are scared to let go. You know if you do, you let go of a huge part of yourself that you aren't ready to say goodbye to, and that leaves you with devastating sadness, especially within the vulnerable confines of your precious heart.
What you would love most is to feel free from this burden of unrequited love. Someone somewhere holds the key to your locked emotions, but you are aware they will never use it, and this makes you feel you grieving a love that never was. Perhaps there was another person involved, and your love chose them instead. It's enough to have anyone experiencing emotions of low self-esteem, or generally not feeling not good enough for anybody at all.
Calls From Old Friends Reignite Pain
Could it be that a call from an old friend is a warning sign from your angels to let go of a past love who may live a distance away? This is just as likely as the ever-changing world we live in now allows us to love someone thousands of miles away, whom we know there is no future with. They live where they live, you live where you live, and nobody will budge on moving to keep the love alive. What happens then is a long road ahead of closure, whereby you must come to terms with a loss that is never tangible, to begin with. It can leave you feeling as though you are grieving an element of your imagination, even though that person was, and is, very real.
You miss your past love in the mornings with the rise of the sun, and you think of them when it sets each night. It's all you are to keep waiting for them to call, text, or knock on your door, but your angels want you to know that they are never going to come. The loss you feel is immense, and it leaves you wondering if anybody out there will love you as much as you love this person, but unless you let go and allow yourself to meet new people, you will never know.
Move On with Grace and Kindness
You have every opportunity within you to meet someone special. Your angels value your kind soul, and approach you with caution as they see you wanting to get more from this dire world you currently feel you live in. Show them you are listening to their warning signs by opening your heart to them, and beginning to show yourself as strong and loving, rather than be desperate for love yourself, and pushing for something genuinely not meant to be.
When you get a call from an old friend, you will revert right back to the past, and you will find yourself stuck there. Seemingly with no way out, you are going to want to find your way to the present moment, but this will prove difficult unless you start to cut the emotional cords on a past love and heal the pain, they are making you feel. In time, you will do it, but the pain will remain for some time yet.
