Cold, achy bones. Fuzzy heads. Slight scratches on your throat. The feeling of not wanting to do anything. Does this sound familiar to you when you are approaching the flu? It is rotten, and it makes you feel rotten. The small signs you get before it hits you like a ten-ton truck are sent from your angels to let you know you need to apply the brakes, stop everything, and prioritize rest. It can be hard to do this if you are used to going a hundred miles an hour every day, but sadly, you don't have a choice. Luckily, you're unlikely to be well enough to go that fast anyway.

Flu Always Has Bad Timing

Angel warning signs include letting you know that you are going to be hit with a sudden illness. Of course, these are never going to be timely, as nobody ever plans illness, nor do they even want it. However – as humans we are unable to avoid everything bad that life has to offer, and so we make the best of a bad situation by resigning ourselves to the couch for a few days until we start to feel better. This may present itself with a new set of problems for you though, because you probably don't like stopping and doing nothing.

Flue is hard to avoid once you expose yourself to the virus. You might have a child who has had it, or a friend or colleague at work. You know how quickly these things can spread, but you are not immune to it. Flu is one of the worst feelings, because you are helpless. Your energy levels are practically none, and you ache so much that you can't be bothered to do the most basic of things. You truly feel stuck in your own nightmare, with no quick or easy way out. As usual, the one thing you can rely on is the process of time and patience.

Run Out for Supplies

When you feel yourself coming down with something, there is usually a small window of time and opportunity where you can dash to the store and stock up on supplies. Grab a few boxes of tissues, some honey and lemon, and something to help take down your fever. Remember the art of drinking plenty of fluids to keep your body filled with what it takes to fight the virus off and get underneath your blanket. You might even feel remotely better knowing you can watch your favorite movie or TV show to help pass the time.

Look Out for Angels Warning Signs

Your angels don't want to see you sick, but they do know that you are bound to pick up something or another eventually. When they communicate with you, their warning signs will be gentle. A sore throat, a little fatigue. You will have a few days' notice to be able to see your errands mostly sorted and complete before you are truly bedridden and unable to even think straight. If you are working or studying, you should probably think about calling in, or letting your tutor know you will be out of action for the next week. They each will understand.

With plenty of time in the future to regain your energy levels and give thanks to your angels for helping you see this flu on your horizon, you will want to use this time to really focus on getting better. Keeping family and friends away will help stop the spread, and allowing fresh air into your home will inject some life into your otherwise depleted soul. It isn't nice, but it never was. It will, however, help your immune system become stronger once more, which is never a bad thing. You've just got to get there first.

Keep Strong – This Will Pass

Don't let this bout of flu get you down. There is no need to think the end of the world is here, although it can feel that way when you are unwell. Flue is a very common illness, even if it does crop up suddenly. Trust in your angels' love and care and feel better knowing they are helping your health get back to its usual great state.
