The dragonfly is often referred to as the 'devil's needle' because of its sharp rear. A sting from the butterfly should be enough to jerk us back into reality and disperse all self-creation illusions and mental barriers.

The beautiful dance of this majestic animal shows us the beauty and diversity of new horizons as they swoon in and out of different realms. Often, this dance is a call for us to follow their lead into new horizons. Your true power and purpose may lie beyond your current scope.

You need to fly higher to see all that truly is

The dragonfly also represents higher knowledge. When the dragonfly soars low in the atmosphere, it does not know what it might encounter when it flies higher. When it eventually goes higher, it would be awed by the amazing scenery and wider scope that lies before it.

It's the same with us humans. We will know and learn more about ourselves if we take on tasks and risks that we would not have if we stayed within our comfort zone.

With this knowledge, you can gauge yourself, your worth, and your skill. When your mind is exposed to new horizons, it would be forced to adapt to your new self and your new scope. These new perspectives will ignite new motivation within your inner self and you'd be amazed at the level of things that you would accomplish onwards.

Remaining in your comfort zone cripples your ability to grow and soar

Remaining within your comfort zone makes you fragile. This fragility is the core reason we are unable to face difficulties when they arise. When you're all shelled up and protected, you tend to postpone your goals because they appear to be too challenging.

When you accept the dragonfly's call to explore further horizons, you are likely to experience a stretch within yourself. This stretch would be uncomfortable, and you are likely to be tempted to recoil back into your shell.

But thankfully, the divine realm that has invited you to go on this journey will be there for you in this time of weakness. All you have to do is to have a willing spirit.

Choose to face your fears

The only reason you're scared of putting yourself out there is that your mind tells you there are dreadful things out there. You would have to identify what these horrors are and face them individually. You can take them one at a time.

Once you decide to face these fears, you would get to realize that they are not half as dreadful as your mind painted them to be. Even if they are, you would realize that you possess all that is needed to conquer these fears.

As the saying goes-You never know how strong you are, until you have no other option than to be strong. Condition your mind into believing that going back into your shell is not an option and naturally, you would find yourself adapting to life outside the shell.

Adapt to the difficulty

You would also need to adapt to the discomfort that comes with coming out of your comfort zone. Consider the discomfort as a part of the process and brace yourself to see it to the end. Tell yourself that it's only difficult in the beginning. And, if you stick around long enough, it'll start to get less uncomfortable.

Do new things

Now's the time to try out all the things your fears prevented you from trying. Take on new challenges. Volunteer for events that you normally would run away from.

Learn to be honest with yourself henceforth. When your mind tells you that you do not have the time for that, counter it, and tell yourself you're only being scared. Then, challenge yourself to overcome these fears and accomplish these things.

It would help if you made a list of these things. This way, you have a clearer view of all that you are to achieve. You achieve one, tick the list and move on to the next. It would even become an exciting adventure for you this way.
