A dove is a symbol of peace. In ancient times, countries at war would send birds bearing olives as a symbol of peace or treaty to the other warring country. The divine world also utilizes these doves to send us a sign that our storm is about to be calmed. We only have to be patient.
Now, we may not be in a warring country or face any disasters that disrupt the peace in our societies. It could be that the battles are within us. So many people are fighting battles that no one else can see. And sometimes, they try to hide their struggles from others.
The divine realm can see through our physical acts. They are aware of the mental battles that we fight. It is believed that we are assigned guardian angels at birth. These angels are in charge of our overall well-being. And, it is these angels that present our case before the divine realm. They intercede on our behalf and plead that our hurdles be cleared.
Some believe that a person's deceased friends and relations also intercede on our behalf in the divine realm to make our paths smooth.
Benefits of inner peace
Inner peace comes with so many benefits. With a clear mind, we would be able to confront the hurdles that life throws in our paths. It gives us clarity and discernment abilities. Inner peace can also influence our relationships with others.
We are more likely to tolerate the views and opinions of others when we are at peace with ourselves. It boosts positivity and general cohabitation.
Furthermore, inner peace allows us to enjoy life to the fullest. We will be less worried about the matters that we cannot control, and learn to appreciate all the positive aspects of life. It helps reduce our anxiety levels and relaxes our minds.
That's not all. Our mind's ability to focus will be improved. With so many distractions in the world today, we are bound to lose focus of our goals and become obsessed with societal frenzies or other things that do not benefit our growth.
But, with inner peace, we can meditate, filter our thoughts, and shut out distractions. This is a complete recipe for progress.
Give yourself rest
Dear, you need to rest. You need a break from everything that troubles your mind. Have you been getting enough sleep? Remember you need at least 7 hours of sleep for a calm mind. And don't forget to interact with people as much as possible.
Make sure you're eating well too. Food nourishes the mind and body. Get a collection of all your favorite music and treat yourself to some jams. Got any hobbies? Try them out more often. Don't have any? Now's the time to pick up one.
Be forgiving
Holding grudges is one of the primary reasons why our minds may be troubled. Sometimes, we are not even aware that we are yet to forgive our offenders. And sometimes, we are our offenders.
Learn to forgive people or yourself for past mistakes. Get the load off your chest so you can experience peace and freedom. When we harbor unforgiveness, it makes our hearts heavy. The worst part is the individuals that cause us this unhappiness might be somewhere living their lives to the fullest.
Forgiveness helps you move on. It improves your mental wellness, reduces worries and anxiety, and even improves your physical health. Your relationships with your offenders will also experience a good turn when you finally let go of all the grudges.
Keep a journal
Keeping a journal has great psychological benefits. You can translate all of the chaos going on in your mind into a paper. When you sit down with your pen and paper, let it all out. Release all that's bothering you into that paper and ease your mind.
Here's a terrific idea: You could write a book! It doesn't matter if you're not a writer already. Your journal could be your inspiration. When life throws trials and tribulations your way, draw inspiration from them and create the most amazing masterpiece ever. This is a terrific means of making money from your troubles. Who knows, you just might become the next Terry Deary.
