White doves represent death, but not always that of people. It might be signifying the impending end of an event, a phase, a job, or even a relationship. Sometimes, our current situation is the major hindrance to our progress, whether we realize it or not.
We may be held prisoners to situations that we find difficult to let go of. It's not always a good idea to keep going when things are bad and you're losing hope and tenacity. When the universe realizes you're going in the wrong direction, it will alter your trajectory. They send the cosmic messenger to let you know that this difficult time is soon to end.
Back in the day, sailors who had been out in the sea for many days would send out doves to soar the sky and see if there was land close by. If the doves return empty-handed, it means there was still a long wave of water in their path, but if they returned with some leaves, it meant they were close to land. The divine realm draws inspiration from this and uses a similar setting to let you know that your trials and tribulations would end soon.
A dove is considered a symbol of rebirth, in this case, we do not mean a literal incarnation. The rebirth here refers to a complete transformation whether spiritual or physical. You have to do your part to fully embrace this rebirth that the divine realm is giving you a hint about, here are some of them:
Pause and reflect
The dove is your cue to take a moment and analyze your current situation. Analyze all that has occurred so far and pinpoint the negative aspects. Also, analyze the positive aspects so you could utilize them more expansively in the future.
Life may be throwing hurdles in your path back-to-back, giving you no time to catch your breath. It's up to you to take a moment to get in charge of the situation, else, you'll be in peril for much longer than necessary. When we pause and reflect, we would be able to realize our mistakes and hopefully, learn from them. All of these would help us steer back into the right course.
Commit to change
Once you have identified your flaws and strengths, you must now resolve to take the right course moving forward.
First, tell yourself what you have to do, then go get it done. You could put your goals down in writing to make them more measurable. Your goals must be actionable and if possible, set time limits.
For you to experience change, you must possess a substantial amount of discipline. Train your mind to ignore all that hinders your success and growth. No doubt, discipline might be a bit difficult for you, especially if you didn't possess it before. Commit to making small significant changes at frequent intervals. It doesn't have to be anything drastic. Research has even shown that the body and mind adapt better if you take things slow.
Letting go of things, people, or habits that we have become familiar with is extensively difficult no doubt. Sometimes, we are so obsessed with their presence that we fail to realize the benefits that their absence would bring. Identify these aspects of your life that need to be cut off, let go of them and notice the immense change that your life would experience.
Take a break if you must
It's okay to take a break from it all and give yourself credit for all that you have achieved so far, even though it seems you haven't done very much. Shut the voice in your head that's causing you to put pressure on yourself.
You may have goals that you intend to achieve before a specific time, but putting pressure on yourself is no way to make progress. Seek help if you need any. There's no penalty for getting help with your goals, and there's no reward for who has the most solo victories. Cut yourself some slack and be kind to yourself.
Embrace the process
After you have identified why you need to make a change in your life, the next step would be to embrace all that comes with it. Change might cause discomfort, but you must keep your eyes on the goal at all times. This would help you take all necessary actions to fully effect the change that your life needs. Feel free to feed the dove before it flies off.
