Our relatives and friends who have crossed over to the other realm may have a message to pass across to us. But, because communication is no longer possible, they resort to sending us signs and messengers to hint about their presence with hopes that we may be able to decipher the message they intend to pass across.
It is possible that these butterflies aren't just butterflies, they may even be our deceased loved ones themselves who have come to console us and give us hope. But we cannot know this for a fact, what we can do is say hi to these butterflies; extend a hand to see if they rest on them, and be nice to them till they fly away.
Most times, messages from deceased people come within the period they die. They would like us to know that they are now in a better place and that it is time for us to move on with our lives.
Our deceased loved ones care about our wellbeing
Once people die, they become a part of the divine realm, and, by extension, they join the league of spiritual guides assigned to us. They are now responsible for our safety and welfare and they would like us to know that they would do their best to ensure our utmost well-being.
Even though they do not want us to forget them, they can see the grief and pain that holding on to their memories causes us. They want to comfort us and assure us that we have mourned them enough and it is time to throw in the mourning clothes.
You can't mourn forever. What's the need when we are even surrounded by these people that we miss? They are ever-present; we just can't see them.
Butterflies as messengers from the divine realm
When you find these birds around, you could make a silent wish or petition. Tell them your heart desires and beckon on them to intercede on your behalf to the divine realm.
Furthermore, you are supposed to draw hope and strength from the presence of these butterflies. They are here so you do not feel alone or sad. Their presence serves as a connection and a reminder of the companionship that comes with being aligned with the divine realm.
If your parents have recently passed on and you find one yellow and one white butterfly flying around, say hi, it's them who have come around to check on you.
You can write them a letter
Writing a letter to your deceased loved one has so many benefits for both parties. It is more beneficial to you. You get to release all the grief and pent-up emotion into the piece of paper. Consider this as an opportunity to tell them things you never did, don't hold anything back, they can see what you're writing.
Writing a letter like this helps you come out of denial and healthily process your grief. It would be easier for you to move on if your heart holds a lesser amount of unspoken pain.
After writing these letters, light them up. Take pleasure in watching the smoke go up to the sky where your loved ones reside.
Cherish their memories
Thanks to technology, we can hold onto the memories of our deceased loved ones. They must be videos or pictures of them somewhere that you can use to remember their faces and their voices.
You could also go through their wardrobe, take one of their favorite clothing and make it yours. This will give you a closer feel of their presence. If there's still cologne on the clothes, it's even better for you.
If they had something they loved or devoted their time to, you should honor their memory by donating some of your time and resources to these things.
Did they want to visit a particular place? Is there a foundation they wanted to raise? Where did they like to visit all the time? You could accomplish these things for them to put a smile on their faces wherever they are.
However, while you do all of these, remember that your primary aim is to move on from the grief, not to continue sulking about their absence.
