Butterflies pass different phases of transformation during their lives. A monarch butterfly is most associated with this change. They are considered the most evolved butterflies of all time. Some refer to them as the king of butterflies and the paramount spiritual symbol of change, resilience, endurance, and evolution.

When you find a monarch butterfly, whether dead or alive, you should smile, transformation is around your corner (or is already in your yard)

The transformation that the butterfly represents depends on what's currently going on in your life. But in all, they represent growth, self-discovery, and self-development.

Sometimes, transformation may come with discomfort and trial that cause us to doubt the process. The divine realm invites us to look at the lifecycle of a butterfly. Even death for the monarch butterfly is a vital part of its lifecycle.

The seeming end of one phase for the monarch butterfly is the beginning of another. The monarch butterfly knows that death is not something to be feared, it goes through its darkest phases of life with an expectation that it will rise and soar again. The divine realm wants us to emulate this.

The presence of the monarch butterfly is a spiritual compass pointing us in the right direction. When things are going haywire, we may be stuck at crossroads of either choosing a different path or remaining resilient (but for how long?). The divine realm sends these messenger butterflies to remain strong and keep going.

The hardships that will encounter might be the physical implications of the internal change that we are going through at the moment. We are advised to stay strong regardless of the challenge we are going through and hang on to hopes of victory and success in the end.

Transformation and resurrection

A butterfly symbolizes resurrection; this is why it is used as a dominant symbol by support centers and grief counselors. The constant death and resurrection of the butterfly are intended to give us hope even when it seems like all is lost. A butterfly resurrects and re-emerges at the end of each phase, and that is what we are expected to do after every difficult situation.

Nurture yourself

Nurturing yourself for change entails enriching your mind with thoughts that prepare you for the life ahead. Show some love to yourself and tell yourself that you are capable of going through this process. Let go of all forms of negativity, inferiority complex, and self-criticism; reframe each of these thoughts to empower and enrich your mind.

Welcome new opportunities

You won't experience change if you turn your back on all the opportunities that present themselves. We know it's hard to let go of things and people that we have become attached to (even when they are responsible for the hurt or stagnation that we feel. But we must make sacrifices.

Are you in a bad relationship? The future without people we have become intimately attached to might seem bliss, but trust us, there's light in the tunnel. When you leave these people, you would experience an immeasurable amount of peace that would make you wonder why you didn't leave sooner.

Start living differently

You need to change everything about your current self that does not allow you to make progress. Is it your mindset, your habit, your friends, your addictions, or even your environment?

If you can't decipher what's holding you back, you can reach out to close friends and relatives who know you well to give you constructive criticism. With this information, you would get to know what aspect of your life needs improvement.

Know that change comes with discomfort sometimes

When you realize and accept the fact that you cannot become a better person without inconveniencing yourself, you will be able to scale through the transformation process with more ease.

This realization will trigger you to come out of your comfort zone and get a better life for yourself. When you start to feel afraid of the process, do not bolt back into your shell. Instead, convince yourself that your mind is merely excited about the process.
